As adults we think life as a kid is easy and stress free. When we talk about our childhood we reminisce on the great times we shared with family and friends. Playing in the park, climbing trees, playing with the kids in the street and knowing to return home before it hit sunset or else…(my parents did this to me) were the only things that pretty much mattered.
Whether you want to believe it or not, times have changed. Kids have changed. What we think and deal with as adults, kids experience at a different level. One thing we all have in common, whether you’re male or female, young or old, is body image. Not surprising, right?
Meet this kid. He has made a jaw dropping change in life. From a young age, Daniel had always been active. He pretty much did every sport under the sun such as: football, cricket, basketball, boxing etc. You would think a kid who did this much sport would be confident, average weight, fit and happy. It was pretty much the reverse for Daniel. As he was getting taller he was also getting wider.
I remember the first time his mum approached me and raised concern about her son. She laid out the truth. Unhealthy habits coupled with a combination of puppy fat and excess body fat were proving to be problematic for Daniel and his parents.
I told his mum, Natalie Roberts, that in order for Daniel’s habits to change she needed to change hers as well. Nat took my advice and signed herself up for our 12 week Nutrition course. Coupled with our FIRE and ICE sessions, Nat saw the remarkable changes she experienced herself, she adopted some of the same principles for her son.
Daniel participated in our I.C.E (Intense Cardio Exercise) group fitness sessions three (3) times a week at 30 min each consistently. He reduced his outside sport and made ICE his priority. In addition to this, adopting the Metabolic Precision (MP) principles of eating has proven to be the cornerstone of his success. Making small changes consistently to his nutrition has given Daniel some great results that are sustainable.
Pictured below is Daniel at the start of 2014 and at the end of 2014. Happy, confident and loving his new look, Daniel has made a remarkable lifestyle change for himself. There’s no going back!
