At some stage in our lives, we all have a light bulb moment. We have a moment where we realise that we can become a better version of ourselves.
We age, we grow and our mindset begins to change. Our bodies start to change with our mindset because we are getting older. We stand in front of the mirror and stare at our bodies. We reminisce how we once were when we were younger. We stare at the mirror once again and begin to pick at the soft parts of our bodies and utter the words ‘I didn't have this before.’
We remember the feeling of being youthful. We remember the feeling of looking great without having to worry about what we ate and whether we exercised. We wish things were different.
We want to change but we don’t know how. We’re at an age where our bodies are changing beyond our control. For us women, it becomes that bit harder. We have hormones, pre - menopausal symptoms, kids who need our attention and in some cases, men who also require our attention..more than the kids!
We spread ourselves thin because we want to make everyone happy. We take care of everybody else but ourselves. Soon enough, we become unhappy, have no self worth and no self esteem.
This is where you need to stop and say ‘enough.’
You need to take care of you so you can give the people who matter most the best version of you.
Don’t use age as in excuse. Now has never been a better time to kick start your way to a healthier and fitter you!
Featured below is Natalie Roberts. She is a mother of two. Natalie came up to me 12 weeks ago and wanted to shape up. She wanted no flabby bits. She wanted to look hard. She wanted muscle definition. She wanted to lean out. She wanted to do something for herself.
I signed Natalie up to our F.I.R.E (Focused Intense Resistance Exercise) program for 12 weeks. She did everything I asked of her. She was motivated, consistent and persistent. She always came to every session happy. This was her time. We worked together to achieve her goals. In 12 weeks, Natalie has undergone some great changes. She realises that this is a journey and everyday is a step forward to reaching the body she has always wanted.
